I just installed an after market cruise on my 95 YJ, auto, A/C, HO. I've got everything hookedup except the last two wires; tach & VSS. The instructions say the wires are located under the hood, OK. I bought a jeep manual from autozone, all wire colors are wrong and doesn't even show a tech or VSS wire. Went by the jeep dealership, their book doesn't go back to 95, RIGHT! Can anyone help me with this?

tach is gray at coil or gray/blue on the back of the cluster.
vss is going to be a problem there is to my knowledge no vss wire on that jeep. there are aftermarket companies that make modules that will give you a vss signal.
good luck

VSS= Vehicle Speed Sensor?
If so, It should be attached to the t-case rear output cone where the speedometer gear is. From there you should be able to trace the wire color back towards the ECU where it's easier to tap into.

I'm not 100% positive about the '95, but '94 has the VSS (aka Speed Distance Sensor) on the t-case. This is where OLDER Jeeps had a mechanical cable to the speedo.
For '94 the VSS wire is Wht/Org and goes to pin 47 on the ECU after T'ing to the speedo and cruise control.
