i am sure this isnt new but as i was removing the trans skid plate to swap out the rusted exhaust sytem, i broke of 4 of the six bolts. two pulled out of the frame leaving a round hole and 2 are still broken off in the frame. do the body mount kits contain the bushings for the trans skid plate? where is a good source to get bushings as the stock rubber ones rotted away. i was thinking of welding a small plate over the holes with a stud welded to the plate......what have youe guys done to fix this problem? thanks

I just layed a short bead and welded the skid to the frame, lol.
That's funny!!!!!!
I had one or two break when I did my clutch and just used the others and haven't had a problem. But if your missing 4 of 6 I think you've got to do something about it. You could cut a hole in the frame for access and weld a nut, then weld a plate over the hole you cut in the frame. Or just weld the skid to the frame :rotflmao:

i bought a jeep and a few holes were stripped and we just made new inserts get a 1/2 nut gring it so its round and not hex anymore. then weld that to a flat washer . put it up into the hole in the frame so that the nut is up in the frame and the washer is flat on the bottom of the frame like how they are stock then weld the washer to the frame and there you have a fixed frame
good luck its working great for me

Those "nuts" in the frame are called "nutzerts". They're a dealer part. To remove them, you have to get them out of the frame, once you've done that, the new ones go into their place. I don't remember if they have to be welded or not.
They're not very expensive but the local dealers didn't stock them the time I needed them so they had to order them.
IMO, don't half ... it, order the right parts to do the job right.

if u want the easy way. just drill through the hole up to the top of the frame. and get a longer bolt and bolt it through bottom and top of frame

another fix is to cut some angle iron pieces and weld them on the skid so that they overlap on the side of the frame. Drill through the angle and the frame and run bolts through and put nuts on the inside.
