Interior Lights

Wierd little problem...I get in the heep today and notice all my interior lights are on. Odd seeing as how I dont have the key in the ignition. Start it up, they stay on. Turn the headlights on...they all go out and headlights function normally. Wierd. So when I get home I unplug the headlight switch....interior lights still on....unplug the dimmer switch and voila! they are off. So since a dimmer switch is under $40 I'm going to replace it tommorow and see what happens...I think this may be the cause because my interior/dash lights have been giving me dimming problems for a little while now...anywho...anyones thoughts/expiriances with a similar problem would be much appriciated!

and so the dash dimmer wheel/switch was in the "off" position. U did'nt say, so I'm asking.

yeah even in the off position the lights were still on.

I was just studying the schematic for your problem.
A defective dimmer switch could give you your exact symptoms.
Even the dome lights going off when you turn the headlights on.

My vote - Dimmer Switch
