Hello fellas, I'm looking to outboard the spring mounts in the front end of my jeep (the ones in the frame), since the d60 spring mounts are wider than the YJ stock ones.
I'm trying to see some pics of home made ones and also what kind of kit are out there. I know that BTF makes one for like $480, I'm just looking for different options. BTW while I'm at it I'll also do a shackle reversal.

TIA
Elio

What's the D60 out of? I just swapped one from a Chevy K30 into my buddy's YJ and it was a bolt in. The springs were less than 1/2" off.

That should bolt right in. What are the center to center measurements on the spring perches?

This is how I built the front end for mine with a shackle reversal.

I do not have any pics of the rear hanger I bought a spring hanger bracket and mounted it to a 3/8" steel plate outside of the frame enough to clear the rear shackle. I then cut two 3/8" wedges that welded to the frame and the top of the plate as a brace. I have used it for the last year and had no trouble.

Wait a month and see how you like it. I am working on a rear 4 link and coil over right now and stretching the wheel base out 7 inches. I will get you a picture up tomorrow.

sorry no pic yet but i pretty much did the same thing & i think it worked great. I used 1/4 inch thick 3x4 angle iron. i welded it to the sides of the frame and mounted my spring & shack hangers to the underside. then i gussted it with some extra pieces. it looks similar to hackles photos. I mounted up a full width d44 out of a 3/4t dodge. wish i had th 60 but i run what i gots.
