Tried searching but couldnt come up with what I was looking for. i am looking for a switch panel that will mount on the metal underneath where the HVAC controls and stereo are. "Painless" has a few that would work but they are at least $100 and i dont need all the wiring or switches. i dont care if it is metal or plastic. so what are your ideas?

You've got lots of options.
The first would be to go to a hardware store and by a heavy piece of sheet metal and a brick. Bend the metal over the brick.
If you're looking for something a little cleaner and don't have a hard top factory fog lights, you can pull that plastic blank out from below/right of the steering wheel. I've got 4 rocker style switches in there that look great and I didn't have to "add" anything.

thanks. looking for a little cleaner install than the brick and sheetmetal. already have the stock foglight location full with hella driving, fogs and rear wiper. looking for a place to mount the switch for taurus fan, OBA compressor, rocklights, backup flood and whatever else i need in the future.

You can get plastic project boxes (like this) (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=270-1806) in a variety of sizes at electronics stores like Norvac or Radio Shack. You can make simple mounting brackets for them and either use the face/lid to drill holes in for your switches and run the wires through a whole in the bottom (use a grommet). Or you can lose the face/lid and use the bottom as a face for mounting switches and have an open back to run the wires out of.
Either way, just decide how you want the layout to be and drill holes accordingly. If you want nice labels, you can get face plates or backing plates made at any trophy shop. They will engrave any label you want.
