i just recently got into wheeling and am in the process of getting oriented in the garage, however my yj has manual steering which is killing me on the trails, so how much aproximatly would it cost in parts to switch over to power steering and if its worth it. i only got a 2.5 liter

You can pick it up new or go to a bone yard. You will need a pump an oil reservoir the gearbox and the high pressure line. You can get the low pressure return line at any parts store. I have done this to my junk and it is fairly easy. There are two types of pumps on the YJ's. The pumps off of the 2.5L YJ's have a remote reservoir. I would avoid these unless you get all the hardware off of the same donor. The 4.0L YJ's have the reservoir on the pump this makes for an easier install. You use the right hand idler pulley bracket to mount the pump. The rest should be easy to figure out. Good luck.
