All,

Counting on you again for your infinite wisdoms.......

Have a YJ we are currently transforming, we are installing the RE 4.5 inch SUA lift...... we are going to do the AA SYE, and were looking for the rear driveshaft length.......

We are looking to have the local shop commence building the shaft while we have the jeep apart so it can be available for when we are completing the install this weekend (when they are closed)

does anytone have this lift and SYE combo who can pass along the shaft length??

Thanks

it is a 92 2.5l with the D35 and NP231 with an AX 5 tranny AA SYE

I had the same setup you have. I had my DS made 18" yoke to yoke. Keep in mind even if my setup is the same it doesn't mean the dimensions will be the same. So use this info at your own rise. It would be best if you had it made to your specs. Good luck.

GO with the Tom Woods adapter and combo (SYE and Shaft). I was able to measure ,my current setup (stock) and give them the measurements and the lift I was going to do (RE4.5XD) and they adjusted it accordingly and sent me the right length. I have no problems. I dealt with Jay at Mesa4x4 ( www.mesa4x4.com ) and had no issues.

Mine was around 18" with only 3" of lift. However, they were able to do it in less than a day so you might as well finish the install of the lift and SYE and then measure for the shaft. Better off that way any way. Just make you set the springs a bit before you measure because they will settle a bit.
