How do I know if I have the two Transfer Case Halves sealed properly? I put on plenty of Permetex, but Im not sure if its enough?

What size is the fill and drain plugs for the case? I can't seem to find a socket that will fit?

What size are the bolts for the skid plate, I now need some shorter bolts?

Point the yoke to within 3 degrees of the tcase??\

Otherwise, things went well, and pretty quick. Im just a bit worried about the t-case leaking. Had some trouble getting the lock ring seated on the gearset, but got it in there ok.

Regarding the seal, you don't need a lot of Permatex - you just need to make sure the mating surfaces are clean, apply a small amount of Permatex, and then make sure you let it set up a bit before mating the two halves of the case together to prevent all the Permatex from being squeezed out. Even then, you won't really know if it will leak or not until you fill the t-case with fluid.

I don't remember the size of the fill plugs but I think they are either 1 1/8", 1 1/4" or 1 3/16".

I don't know the size of the skid plate bolts.

Your rear axle pinion yoke should point a couple degrees below the output yoke on the t-case. This accomodates the upward rotation of the pinion under torque.

Thanks a bunch, tried 29mm and didn't work, will try and get my hands on the 30mm. Then I just have to track down some shorter bolts for the t-case.
