MC2100 w/ Hei ignition retrofit is done.....

I just did the mc2100 1.08 carb conversion ( the carb is off a 79 jeep cj7 w/304 as pep boys has it listed just in case you want to go there and order it) with GM Hei ignition and let me tell you that is the best mods I have done on my Jeep. It finally idles normal and the power gain is incredible. I bought the carb from Pep Boys ( $141.00 ) and the dist from a you pull it yard for 8 bucks, the gear from 4wd hardware 25.00. I still dont know about how much I have increased my fuel mileage but after I drive it I will know if there has been an improvement in mileage. Also as far as my emission set up, it is completely gone with the exception of the vapor canisister and the cat. I have tested to see if it will pass emission standards and boy the reading are lower then what the orignal setup had. So If you are thinking about doing the retrofit I would recommend it, and as a matter of fact, I have a couple people that were waiting to see my outcome and now what me to do the conversion on their jeeps... :)
At least now for the summer i can drive and wheel my jeep till the late fall when I will be doing the 4.3-auto from a 93 chevy blazer 4x4 conversion.
