So many lifts out there...So many ideas. Basically im trying to run 31s the cheapest way possible. Im thinking a 2inch shackle lift and 1 inch body lift. How would this work for 31x10s? pictures..?
Shackle lifts 1" or more suck. 1" BL ok.

The cheapest way possible...
Just cut down the arches, or fenders or whatever you call them.

31's will fit at stock height. I suggest searching. It would be better to run 31's with a 1"bl and TJ flares. It gives them a little room to flex.

What he said. TJ flares will make a huge difference, if you still need a bit more clearance then do a BL. The least lift, the better.

You can "re use" the short BL and fender cutting as you lift the suspension. If you go the shackle route, you'll end up spending twice because you will go higher, its just a question of when. At least with TJ flares and a 1" BL you wont be changing them anytime soon even if you go with more suspension.

ya i would go wiht a 1" body and TJ flares. It will give you plenty of room for 31's. I was in teh same boat and went for some lift the cheapest way possible. I'm pulling off the shackle lift and going with a proper lift kit and 33's. The problem with incremental lifts you always want to go bigger...
you know you want to go bigger :hypno:

not goin bigger until the 8.8 ford is in there...and that wont be for a while

Go bigger anyway, and then when you break the 35, you will have a reason to get an 8.8 or 44s. Just carry a spare shaft.
BTW, its only a matter of time before you will want more tire and more lift. About the time you actually get the 31's on actually. Happens to all of us.

I'm currently running a 1 1/4 shackle lift, cause i was cheap, and i wish i would have saved up the $$$ and gone with an actual lift (new leafs....). thought about a body lift but heard too much bad about em and i don't care for being able to see free space between body and frame. i did run 31x10.5 stock for a week and they fit, i guess... they rub when you hit big bumps and you lose a lot of turning radius unless you get new rims with the proper backspacing. my advice, get a real lift, you'll be much happier! :thup2:

I like the 1 inch space because, its easier to spray the hose in there and get everything clean ; )

add in you can add a 1" MML and a i think it is needed with some of the gas tank skids... 1" isn't bad at all, it is the 3" body lifts that look stupid. :pbj:

Get the Daystar 1" bodylift. I have it and it is great. Best one on the market.
