Dana 30 axle shaft

I pulled my axle shafts and the rt side long axle shaft (I have done tj shaft upgrade) has a small indent on the very end of it. The splines look good and there were no odd noises or vibes other than the "normal" noise from my lock right. It seems the tip of the axle shaft is rubbing on the cross pin ??
It is not as deep as the picture makes it look.

I wouldnt worry about it.

Its a d30 if its gonna break that indentation is not gonna be the cause of it.


I would however be curious as to what it is hitting.

the only thing I would be worried about is if its wearing on the cross pin, that would be bad and could lead to failure of the cross pin. However There really isnt a lot of movement in there so I would bet your fine.
