I recently aquired my 91 YJ 2.5L 5 speed. I am diggin it but I am troubleshooting a hesitation problem. I can't pull the codes as when I do the on-off-on-off-on I get no light. When I turn the key to on the only lights I get are the seat belt light and the brake light. With that, in relation to those two lights, where is the check engine? I can then replace the light bulb without tearing the light cluster apart and get on with my other issues.
Thanks.

In the cluster right above the steering wheel, I beleive is the top left one. I can double check during lunch if you need me to.
If you have the manual for the Jeep, it may be in there too.

Thanks that would be outstanding. I think that would put it to the left of the BRAKE light.

Funny thing happened today...my 91 became a 90. No ...it wasn't an end of year model...but rather yours truly for some reason thought I bought a 1991. Says 1990 right on the title! Anyway that explains a lot with the check engine light and why I cannot pull the codes. I put the bulb back into the socket and the light comes on as deisigned. Well I can put that one to rest...thanks.
I am off to find the procedure to adjust the TPS and find out about the emission timer.
