I am goin to install a SYE on my 93 YJ and I was just wondering about how hard of a job that it is!! Is it something that I can do myself or should I have a pro do this? Also where is a good place to purchase one of this on the web? cheap and decent quality:yup:

There are several places. JB Converstions and Adavance Adapters seems to be the two most popular. As far as doing it, go to their sites and read there instructions. If you think you can do it you probably can. If you never changed oil before I would stay away. Also go to Stu's site (http://www.stu-offroad.com/index.shtml) . He has tons of useful information. I got my kit and DS from Tom Woods (http://www.4xshaft.com/) .

Jeep was dissasembled on a friday night and back on the road Sunday afternoon, but I also installed a 4" lift AND a new clutch while I was at it.

Time spent on installing the SYE once the TC was on the bench was maybe a couple of hours. An arbor (light manual) press would be helpful for pressing the bearing off, I used a buddies shop who had one. The directions are pretty easy to understand and follow. Zman is right, "if you think you can, you can".
Good luck
