Is ther one like for YJ dana 30.
If I was to run an air locker or LSD why would I need hubs to engage 4wd?
I never understood that...
Does dana 44 ever used sealed hubs like dana 30?
Just wondering...
Thanks for schooling:beerchug:
I am not aware of any Dana 44's using a sealed bearing/hub like the YJ/TJ Dana 30 uses. Some Dana 44's come with manual locking hubs and others come with a drive flange that locks the hubs full-time. The drive flanges can easily be replaced with manual locking hubs.
None of this has any bearing on whether or not you can engage 4WD. It only determines whether or not your axle shafts spin while in 2WD. If they do, and if you have an automatic locker (like a Detroit), then your front driveshaft will also spin while in 2WD. With an ARB, the axle shafts might spin but not the driveshaft.
Hope this helps.

Here is a write-up that might give you an idea of what's inside a D44.
