1990 2.5...brand new Jasper engine (less than 100 miles)...runs perfectly...soft top, some rust behind the rear wheels. Good shape otherwise (not sure on total miles on it)...$1200...worth it? Thanks for the input

yes, worth double that around here, depending on how bad the rust is. Use larger rear flares (TJ) and cut the rust out.

Have some more info...105k on the body of the jeep. black in color. Decent interior. Manual transmission with no problems at all. some rust right in front of the rear wheels.

...trying to negotiate right now with my old man...(one of the problems of still pseudo living at home...) The jeep would have to be parked in the driveway...where there are already 6 vehicles. I told him I'd obviously be paying for everything, and he could drive it whenever he wanted/needed until Spring when I had time to do a little work on it...and that's when people in my area are in the market for jeeps so the value would go up...then I can sell it and turn a decent profit. I also said that if he didn't think he'd drive it, I'd buy it, never register or insure it...and then just sell it in the spring. I think he's afraid (and rightfully so) that I'll end up growing attached and keeping the thing like a stray puppy...:agree:

Do U have smog laws in your state and would it pass for resale?

6 vehicles in your driveway?! :naw:

I don't think resale in NY would be a problem...? but to be perfectly honest, I don't know what smog laws, if any, are on the books. Maybe someone could chime in...I'll google it as well...As for the 6 cars, it's my '94 Mustang, my '91 YJ, my moms '01 Pontiac Montana, my sister's '03 Mazda 6, my dad's '01 Vette, and his '01 Altima:bangnerd: I guess we're a big car family...both my sister and I work, and bought our cars and pay for all expenses.
