I just mocked up a set of 90s ford ranger power seats. They both have power lumbar and the drivers has the bolsters to squeeze the bottom of the seat in.I picked them up for 17$ apiece at the junkyard. They have the sliders on them are adjustable back and forward and were relatively easy on the install.I did have to drill new holes but am not concerned. They are in excellent condition no rips. They have pockets on the back and allow access on both sides for rear access.I have pics if anyone can post them. The seats are very comfortable and Im very happy with the outcome.Just thought others may be interested. Thanks Dan:beerchug:

Did it require relays on the electrical? How hard were they to wire up?

How did this change your seating height in comparison with the old seats? And is it more difficult now for someone to climb into the back seat?
I would like to see some more close up pictures if you've got a digital camera. Very interesting, something I've been kicking around in my head for a while myself. Thanks a bunch

I'm curious about this one too...I've been thinking about hunting down a set of seats with a bit better support.

I still have to raise them about an inch and make them level.Im 6'1" and Im adjusting the seats to my preference and not back to the stock height. If I want it higher I can raise it or lower it as needed. My jeep has no motor/trans/tcase installed so I wont drive it for awhile,I am assuming these will be a huge improvement to other seats. The seats feel very comfortable when sitting in it.They have plent of different positions.
Getting into the back is no harder than with stock seats.
I didnt install any relays.I cut the wire on the ranger at the junkyard after the plug in clip.I hooked it to 12volts and the lumbar and bolster worked.
Also the seats I picked up were 92 ranger extended cab.I assume you will need ex cab models as a regular cab will not have as much adjustment.I also believe explorer 2 door seats are identical.
The mounts I have right now are temp. and I will make something that looks better.
Also the pics got distorted when I downsized them so they look very low.
Let me know what pics are wanted. And anymore questions.
Thanks Dan:beerchug:
