I took the drivetrain out of my K5 and put it in a wrangler. the factory chevy t-case is going to hang down way low. go with a clocked dana 300. what else is there you need to know?

uhh, for driveshafts, i used some pieces of wood i had laying around. duh, what do you think you use.... driveshafts. you can get them made by any local driveshaft type welding shop. there are also some very well known driveshaft shops that make shafts just for your 4x4 offroad application. jesse at highangledriveline is one that i am partial to. his stuff is stout.

the driveshafts are the least of your problems :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: call up a driveshaft shop and have them made

I went with full width D60/14 bolt axles because I already had them geared and locked in my Blazer

Length of the drive train vs. the length of the Jeep. Also consider the shortness of the rear drive shaft. Measure up.

I am in the process of putting a 302, C4 auto tranny and Ford dana 20 in mine and it will be shorter then my stock set-up... which will be nice!! :clapping:

I have a front Ford 44 and rear Ford 9". They are an inch shorter then stock, so I when I went with diffirent rims I corrected with the back spacing. I am going SOA, so the normal cutting and grinding is what I have spent most of my time on...

I got about 90% of my SOA stuff from bluetorchfab.com they are great and willing to help and thier craftmanship is unbeatable.

I am going to use the Ford steering(tie rod etc..) and power steering pump and just fab some lines for it to go to the YJ steering box. IF I find that wont work, I will put the Ford box in there.
