I love it. I am in the market for the same truck chef. Its going to be great to tow the YJ to the trails.
Nice, congrats.
I have a set of pyro, boost, and trans temp. out of my CTD for sale if your interested, autometer ultralites (silver face/ silver bezel)
i sure am interested! how much you want? i was looking at the BD x monitor due to the fact it can consolidate the three guages into a small package, but boy is it sure pricey!
Here is a pic. The pod they are in is no good, it is a center dash pod for a 98-02, that I modified to fit my '03.

140 shipped for the 3 guages. Your choice on the boost, I have a 0-35 psi, and a 0-60 psi. You will probably need a couple of the compression rings for the compression fittings though, and there is a boost bolt included (replaces an intake manifold bolt and provides a place for your boost fitting.

Nice!!
You're gonna LOVE towing!!
Although....
Be prepared - you will now become the *Go To* guy to call when everyone else breaks down and needs a tow.
Build wooden sides on the trailer (plywood) and it hauls a **** load of yard debris. :brows:
Funny thing is - you buy a trailer and you suddenly find many uses for it.
Don't forget 'LONG DISTANCE' trips!!
<Paragon & Rausch Creek :agree: >
Have fun with it!
sold! does the purometer have the probe and everything? you have a paypal addy?

In one of the offroad mags in the last couple of months, they had a decent article on boosting the Dodge diesel performance by outrageous numbers. If you're interested, I could probably find it and scan/email it to you. The shop that did the upgrades is in SoCal, south Orange County, if I remember right, like Laguna Beach or Dana Point, something like that.

BTW, I'm jealous as hell! I want a tow rig!!
PMe'd you about the guages.
Oh yeah, and go and join www.turbodieselregister.com It is 35 bucks a year, but it is WORTH every penny. I love it, lots of knowledge too.

Congrats Chef!
You're gonna Love the TQ.!
It might be worth while for you to check out www.myfuelprices.com
It seems they're gouging on Diesel right now. Near me its $2.27 and you can get it a few miles away for $1.99 ... :headpop:
Im sure I have a extra EGT probe if you need one. Let me know.
I can even help you put it in :D
Im running the Edge Juice with Attitude on my Dmax and am VERY happy with it. ...just another for you to consider. :)
Just FYI, the VERY first mod you should add is exhaust. Before any chips etc.
thanks brad! i've been meaning to look around for a site like that. the guy i bought it from said it's a good idea to find a station that sells a lot of diesel so that it doesn't sit in the tanks too long. any thoughts on that? do you have a trailer? i'm looking into Big Tex tomorrow. Been referred to them by multiple parties. Aztec in Ramona is cheap, but I'm unsure on quality. Ebay also has many options if I go used. I'll be purchasing the trailer on a credit card and then transferring the purchase to the loan to cut the interest rate in half. hopefully it will all work out right.
i'm the guy with the winch and now truck and soon trailer as well, same boat :D
no thanks devdev, i'm not ready to get into that, not until i have enough money to save up for a new tranny. BD or DTT probably. i'm doing some design/print work for Outlaw Offroad in Irvine. They do a lot of diesel work, and I'll probably hit them up when i'm ready (read have enough of the basics and save enough money) for an exhaust.

SWEET! :clapping:
I was looking at a coworkers Heavy Truck blah blah blah Auto Trader magazine today & it had LOTS of trailers that would fit the bill. Some were never used and ran ~$1,500 and less with a nice compliment of bells & whistles. While others looked pretty good for ~$1,000 or much less. One looked perfect for ~$1K and I think it was from a dealer which you could probably buy it on the terms you mentioned.
Good luck & NICE truck!! :beerchug:

But yes, there is some truth to watching where you buy your diesel. I think around our area its not too much of a problem though. At least I've never had an issue.
I run Stayndyne additive in every tank though. Mainly for lubricity, but it also has a water absorbant and raises the cetane a few points as well.
My diesel is mainly for pulling my toybox. I have access to a car carrier and might be able to find you one used... Open flat bed, not enclosed.
Hey, I would love to get you to come by my place some time so you can look at a couple things on my Jeep and I can drive you insane with Diesel drivel...
Also, If you're interested in cutting them, I would like to replace my rear shackles with a set of boomerangs since I did flex far enough to hit the bumper.. I dont want any more height, just the angle. I missed a nice set on Ebay that went under $50 :headpop:
i'll have to pick up a HD trader at 7-11 on the way home. sounds good joe. i'm probably going to just rent a trailer for a little while, and pick up a few things for the truck. my insurance is all jacked up, i'm pretty bummed about that :/ so, in that case i want to keep the loan payments down until i can figure out a better plan for insurance.
man, i'm sorry :P i half knew it was wrong when i was typing it out, but at least i got the 4 letters right :P brad is the guy i bought the truck from. i'll get to work on the boomerangs and bring em by sometime. when is good for you? one night this weekend i'm going to head out to victorville and camp for the PROrock championships, but the rest of the week and weekend i'll be around. i'd be happy to listen to diesel drivel, trying to pick up as much as i can.

As a friendly word of advice from my experiance:
I rented a car hauler before from a business chain called U.S. Rentals, in Chula Vista, near San Diego. They gave me a good deal and charged me for 5 days when I had it for ~9. :clapping: IIRC, it ran ~$45 a day, or ~$270ish total inc tax etc. They do require a credit card too IIRC.
U-haul rent's them for ~$50 a day, but they weren't going to give me ANYWHERE near as good of a deal as US Rentals. US Rentals also provided all the chain's etc I could have wanted to secure my Jeep to the trailer.
a buddy in my club was saying that my jeep wouldn't fit right on the uhaul, which seemed odd, but i took his word for it. he pointed me towards big tex, who built his. said he sells and rents, his daily rate is better then u-haul, and always discounted for a weekend rental. his trailers are better built and tow better then uhaul too. that's all i've got to go on, and the jeepers around the corner raved about him when i mentioned the name. no prices on the website, but i'm going to try to get into a shop in the next couple of days and check it out.

Adam, I'll be home during the day on Wed, Thurs. and all day Friday.
I sleep til about noon and leave for work at 4pm on Wed. and Thursday though so Maybe Friday will be good... I'll be available from Noon till late on Friday. Im leaving Sat. morning for the weekend.
No rush on the shackles; whenever you have time, but I just checked my flex today with a fork lift and verified that the rear springs are contacting the bumper.
I got 26 1/2" at the front left tire before the rear started lifting. :)
