i have a 4.5 RE XD lift, AA HD SYE and Tom Wood Driveshaft, the shaft and sye are new, have had it 2 weeks. I get pretty bad vibes, feels like a massage chair at 50 mph, I have everything greased like it should be, and all bolts are tight. Also has new ujoints. What could be causeing my vibes. The only thing i could think of would maby be the tranny mount?? I really dont want to put the 1" drop back in, would kind of defeat the purpose of the sye and shaft. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Might need some degree shims. Any pics of your driveshaft angle?

Did you rotate your pinion up?
There should be a 0* operating angle on the pinion side u-joint or you will get vibes.

I'd third the pinion angle as my first guess.

i have your same setup. just installed it about a month ago. you definitly need degree shims, i installed 6's but i could use some 8's. i occasionally get vibes from 30-40 mph, no other vibes other than that range. hmm, would tire size affect the degree you need on the shims? ive got 35's, guess it might depend on your tire size.

I have shims, but there the ones that come with the kit, i think there 2s, the angle doesnt look to bad, i will take a pic later on tonight and post it I probably just need bigger shims. Also, would a 1" motor mount help any?
Thanks

Nope...those shims that came with the kit won't work.
When I was running that set-up, I had 6 degree shims AND the transfer case drop.
8 degree shims might be a good place to start. Make sure you get STEAL shims - don't buy alluminum - they are too soft and flatten)
