I'm currently running 33x10.50s on stock bs wheels. I need to change.

1. Stock BS is killing my Turning radius
2. I think the wheels are fugly

I was thinking about some AR767s or similar but am worried about the extra weight. I'm still running that wonderful D35 that has yet to break (knock on wood) are they heavy enough to worry about or not? If they are that heavy I may just wait and get some MT classic IIs but the way I chew up wheels on the trail I'd be afraid... The size I would use is 15x8 5 on 4.5 and 4" BS.

My 15x10's with 3.75" of BS weigh close to 30 lbs each

AR767 and your rim size is a good choice. After you chew them up you can touch them up with black paint. They are also cheap. I would not let the rim affect your love for the D35, when its ready to break, its ready to break.

I wouldnt call what I have with my D35 love, its just holding up and I'm not gonna mess with it till it breaks. I'm just wondering if the heavier wheel will help the breaking process along.

I can't see why a heavier wheel would make a difference. When I broke mine I was at a stand still and gave it some gas (not alot, but some) to climb a small obsticle and .......BANG!!!

and we all love our D35's :winky: although I admit I don't miss it.

Matt,

I wouldn't worry about *weight*.

Besides....the extra weight can be your friend (traction).

The Black RockCrawler type wheels are CHEAP. You bang 'em up and you can replace them cheaply. CHEAP is good.

I've gotten in the habit of collecting these things by accident - don't ask.
The 5 on my YJ (with 35's)
I've still got 5 of them with 33's on them
...and 3 others with beat up 35's on them.

:agree:

I'm stocked up!!! :rotflmao:

Weight doesn't kill D35s....traction does.
