Hey guys I'm new. I want to buy a wrangler and put a lift on it as my daily driver, but I dont have the money for a TJ but I would like for it to look like a TJ, so can a dash from the TJ fit.
You will probaly see lots of stupid ???'s from me.

it'd probably be easier, cheaper, and look better to just buy a tj...
custom stuff and looks no one has are always cool - but this time, i dunno....you're talking you'd have to replace guages, radio, heater controls and ducts - big mess of stuff...
I hate the TJ interior personally - too much like a car

i agree with fatkid,
if you want something cool, put a yj dash in a tj and get rid of those worthless airbags:brows:

If you want something custom, you can replace all your stock gauges with some neat Autometer gauges without too much hassle. The dash components can be painted and/or lined with a plastic spray (duraliner, etc). You can also replace your YJ non-airbag steering wheel with a Grant one.
You can do anything to a jeep. However, I agree witht the prior posts. I can be done, but it will cost $$ and it would be cheaper just to buy a TJ.
Good luck,

That is sexy, I have that bookmarked, the only reason I haven't gone ahead with it is the loss of the dash pad which would lose defrost. I am working on a way to make a hybrid CJ/YJ dash.
Leaving the speakers, glove box and dashpad in the yj locations with the CJ spedo and heat/vent stuff, Its just a matter of getting the dash plate cut and made and redoing a few things.
But this won't be happening any time soon but its PLANNED.

Here's a pic of my modified YJ dash pad on a CJ-7, trying to make my rollbar swap work, I ended up with a YJ windshield frame, '92-95 Rollbar, and an OR-Fab front cage. I cut the ears off so I could retain the stock speakers, and I bought some Spice colored vinyl to recover it.
