Jeep won't start...

It's a 91 4 banger. Its getting spark and turns over fine.. just wont start. How do I go abouts checking the CPS? What else could it be?

It is probably not the CPS since you are getting spark. Have you checked the fuel pressure? What engine codes is the computer throwing?

First thing check for gas. It's a carb model right? Look down the throat of the carb to check for gas when you pull the linkage

No it's fuel injected.... I know for a fact that I'm getting both spark and fuel.

Get someone to tap on ur starter with a hammer while you are trying to start it, dont tap way too hard where u may crack your starter. good luck, post up if it works.

No its definately not the starter..... I wouldnt be making a post like this if it wasnt turning over.

I am getting spark and fuel... there is lots of pressure at the fuel rail.

I did a compression test on it and it was even lower than last time I did it... Doesnt really matter, im rebuilding it anyways. It was 60, 71, 74, 71 from front to back :rotflmao: :rotflmao:


I squirted some oil in each cylinder to make a better seal and she fired right up :brows:

Holy shiat, it should be somewhere around 120 to 140.! just throw in a 4.0L. :agree:
