I changed out my front drive shaft u-joints and I come to find out that the zirk fittings are shaped like a bowl and you screw them in with a flathead. I've never seen this type before and the head on my grease gun hose doesn't adapt to this foreign zirk fitting. So, what do I do about this? I tried taking the nipple like fitting(from and old joint) and screw it into the new joint, but the threads on the nipple zerk were larger and therefore wouldn't adapt. What do I need to go to grease these new joints, in the future. Thanks

Sounds (to me) like you need a needle adapter fitting for your grease gun to use. Thats how you grease those type of u-joints. As long as you put some extra grease in the caps before you installed them, they'll be fine for awhile.

Well I think I may have put them in a "little" off due to them having a little resistance when I wiggle them. :bangnerd:

We have those also.....and I don't like them.
I bought the 'needle' for my grease gun and it didn't do **** for me. Either I bought the wrong thing or I just wasn't doing it right.
When I grease mine....I simply remove that damn fitting and stick the needle directly into the hole and start pumping.
When I'm done, I put the fitting back in.
