Anyone ever upgraded to one? Does it help with drivability noticably?
My shaft where it attaches to the steering box is sloppy, very sloppy. I'd say there is a 20-30 degree slop in the steering wheel with all new steering components.
$200 is a bunch to chance on a new shaft if it really wont make that much difference :bangnerd:

No, the u-joints are fine, it is sloppy in the shaft and splines. I havent taken it off or anything yet so I dont know if the shaft on the steering box is bad as well.

Hopefully your steering box isn't bad.. are your tie rod ends on your drag link good?

Yeah I hope not too, no telling how hard those bolts would be to get off.
The drag link and tie rod is brand new, I just replaced them with heim joints and new tubes.

There is a nut with a hex bolt in it on top of the steering box. Loosen the nut and tighten the hex bolt gently, it is really easy to over tighten. This could get rid of the slop in your steering. Try this before getting a new steering box. If you already know all this, sorry for the babbling. :tjx2sumo:
