I switched to the flexalite Wrangler 2 fan and didn't notice any difference. My engine actually ran hotter. For the money that some of the fans cost, I wouldn't do it. If you can get a fan for pretty cheap, try it and see if you like it.

Mount an electric fan as a puller rather than pusher. You also want to find one that moves at least 2000cfm. Don't bother with all the fancy extra electrical crap like thermostatically controlled, the moptor allready has a thermostat in it. Wire the fan up to ignition hot or just put it on a heavy duty switch and turn it on manually. Make sure you use heavy gauge wire as good fan will draw about 20 amps and will burn up wire and switches if not heavy enough. Make sure you get one that will fit the back side of the radiator also.

Try these part numbers at http://store.summitracing.com/

DER-16516

DER-16818

DER-16926, I just put this one in my Jeep with a 5.0L V8 and it never gets hot.

Dude.....don't buy nothing from Quadratec, you can get everything out of that catalog at Summit for less. the trick is finding the manufacturers part number.

I went with the Wrangler II Electric fan as well.. but I did so because I didn't have a mechanical fan when I swapped engines.

Here's what I did, but there are many ways of doing it for sure:

The fan I used can now be bought on EBAY for $106.00 shipped.

Hope this helps you:coool:
