i can't take it anymore, i just want to be able to daily drive a jeep again. i found a 91 4 cyl with 81,000 original miles on it. it has a new 2.5l GM motor in it (2,500 miles on it, still under factory GM replacement warranty). it is black. the body is pretty much perfect, except some small wringles under the doors in the rockers. the paint is perfect. it has a soft top, original everything except the seats are new. has the basic 4 cyl. steel wheels.

he is asking $5000 for it. i'm thinking about $3500 tops for it. what would you offer the guy, or what would you think it would be worth? i was thinking of selling my heavily modded YJ for $6000 (don't worry, i came to my senses about 10 minutes later), so i think $5000 is way to much for his

when i bought my 95 yj 4cyl i bought it from a dealer and we paid 6500 including tax and title. so i would so no more than 3500 for yours.

Oh and my YJ was completly stock when i bought it.

I wouldn't pay a dime over $3000 for it. I just bought a 95 sahara 6cly in great condition for $4000.

thanx for the info guys. the thing with this is that it is in pristine condition! i think that may make it worth the extra little bit. it is NICE! the only thing i don't like is the GM 2.5l swapped into it. the rest of it is very nice though. the paint is black, and not a scratch in it. the thing is just gorgeous, and i have some blingin chrome crap taking up space around my garage and my folks garage that i think would look pretty cool on the black (especially the wheels). i have all this extra stuff that will never go back on my heep, and i really want to be able to daily drive the jeep again. nothing better than cruising down a back country highway with the radio blaring some slow sappy song to help an overworked fellow relax. for some reason the rusted to **** 88 celebrity that dumps as much gas as it uses doesn't quite have the same effect.

of course, whatever i get, monica will end up taking, and i'll end up with her XJ.

It's funny that you're thinking about another Jeep, as I am too. :)

If you believe it's a fair deal (whatever price you settle on), open up the checkbook & never look back. :D Life is too short to sweat a few bucks, it's the satisfaction of having what you want that brings peace for me.

Here's the one I'm considering. It's an '84 CJ7 in fantastic condition. The interior is like showroom. :)

Yep, there's a leak that looks like it was coming from the rear main seal. Fixed. :)

yes but Joe, you are forgiven (even though you never called me to go out for drinks) because yours is a nice as CJ-7

I still kick myself for not getting the 7 while i could. but at the time newer meant better and the rents were puttin out the $$$ so it was all the same in the end
