93 2.5 TRANS QUESTION

Friend has 93 2.5L in his YJ and the manual trans has given up the ghost. Is the AX5 the only manual trans his would have came with in that yr?

What differentiates the 21 and 23 spline output on these trans? Certain gear options that vehicle had from factory?

The 21 spline is for ax-5 4 cylinders , and the 23 spline is for the ax-15 6 cylinders
