OK, I was thinking about getting a newer TJ this year, but I guess I have too much sentimental value in my first YJ! Instead, I plan on doing some major work to my YJ this summer to get it "just right." Before I start, I have a couple questions:

I don't have a digital camera for comparison, but I'm not sure what kind (or if) I have a lift on my Jeep! I'm running 32's and the stance looks great, but I'm concerned about flex when hitting the trails this summer. Anyone know how to check on this? I got the '92 used from a Jeep dealersjip like this in 2001, and have no documentation.

Although I know I may get flamed like the rest of those that posted this, but I am interested in purchasing the OMIX-ADA round headlight conversion grill for my YJ. I can't seem to find any distributor online, and when I asked OMIX, they just sent a general reply saying to check their distributor list. I still got nothing- any ideas?

I have only done a few mods so far- herculined the tub (PITA), Jet chip, Bestop tire carrier, sweet stereo system, poly-bushed the chassis, Sailcloth replace-a-top, and a few others. I'm planning on building an overhead console, possibly doing a TJ gas filler relocation, a thru-hood snorkel (have great write-up), ditching the tube chrome bumpers and steps (!!!), and more as I read more in these forums!
By the way- I just found these forums and was up until about 2am this morning reading past threads- awesome job guys!

If you have 32's on your Jeep I'm guessing that there is some type of lift on it. Either a body lift or a 2.5" lift? I had 32's on my jeep when I bought it and it had a 2.5" lift on it and did not rub on the trails(well maybe a little).

If you are new to the forums be patient with your decisions, they will change many times over. If you want to wheel your Jeep you may be interested in more trail type mods rather than cosmetic like the CJ grill conversion.
Keep reading and wheel your jeep as is, that will help a lot in deciding what you want to do to your Jeep. After you hit the trail a couple times you will know what you want to accomplish be it lockers, more lift bigger tires or some armor.

Good luck and have fun.

I should've mentioned that I have done quite a bit of offroading, but none around MN. I used to go out in the mountains around San Diego when I was stationed there, but it was mostly flatter terrain, dry creekbeds, and mountain trails.
Also, my jeep is my daily driver. I have to keep it as street legal and smooth riding on road as possible. The reason I want to add the TJ grill mod IS cosmetic, but I want the gas filler mod for convenience reasons- I absolutely HATE the filler where it is!!

Add revolver shackles and longer shocks to improve your flex.
