did you guys use the stock yj screws and plastic heads or just go with aftermarket bolts or screws?
I am thinking about just cutting the old yj plastic screw heads off and popping the old flares off, using new screws or bolts to save time from unscrewing all the old flares.

I just drilled little holes and used #10 sheetmetal screws with 3/4" diameter fender washers.

Sheet metal screws didn't pull the extended TJ flares I installed tight enough for me. I went and bought some of that pre-drilled galvanized angle from Home Depot and bolted a couple of +/- 1 foot pieces inside each flare.
Then I undercoated everything under the flare so it is invisible unless you look real close.
They are very tight and very rigid now. It would take some serious rubbing/scraping to rip them off.
