I've been looking into buying a duster cover to use during the summer.

Which duster cover do I need that will work with the factory softop rails, but does not require the factory top to be folded below it?

Also do the dusters that fit the bestop rails, also fit the factory rails?

I have the factory softop (rails) and am using the duster that goes OVER the folded down softop. It was on bestop buys for ~$15 so I couldnt refuse.

I really would rather have the one that your talking about, fits in the original rails but with the softop removed. I called Bestop a while back and explained what I wanted and the guy clearly understood me and gave me a P/N to order, (forgot it though). Call them, they'll hook you up.

I've looked before and the only one I could find also included the soft top rails. (i.e for hardtop owners). This was just from searching 4wd.com or Leon Rosser. You may be able to order just the top without the rails, but I haven't been able to find it. I didn't contact Bestop directly, though. If you do find the part number, please post it here. That would be great since I never have my softop in my Jeep and I don't want/need new softop rails.

I have the duster cover for use with a hardtop/no softtop. Got it from Quadratec. It fits right into the factory rails; mine also came with a new set of rails but I just re-used the factories. Not much use for a softtop in San Diego...
