Yeah if you found the right size/strenth pin. It'll be a little harder to remove than it would be on a TJ - but very easy to do.

Ok, thanks.. Just wanted to make sure I'm not making my rig dangerous by doing a TJ mod to a YJ.

Yeah you'll be fine - theres really no danger with a sway bar link detatching itself. Expecially in a YJ...infact most people run without it.

The only danger I could see is if both ends detatched and some how the sway bar or end links "got into" something like a wheel or fan - but that's highly impossible :)
