DIfferences in tail lights?

Does anyone kno the differences in tail lights between the early YJ, later YJ and CJ? Everywhere i look shows 3 different lights for the above 3. Is it justthe pigtail?

As far as i know the 76 to 81 CJ lights didn’t have the side markers. After that i believe there all the same. Could be wrong.

In the YJ versions I believe it is the plug that is the difference.
