I'm going to do this tomorrow. Any info I should know about this or just follow the directions above?
-Spray off the top
-Clean it with soap/water/sponge
-Cloth dry it
-Then spray the paint on
-How many layers?
-Any base coat of primer or just spray over the stock gray?
-Should I paint the inside of it too?
Any specific paint you think I should use? I want a shade of black that's not dull but not glossy.
Anything here?

I've made a note to get the spray nozzle attachment.

I had a few gouges and scrapes in mine. I clean it well and used a couple of cans of the textured spray on bed liner on it to cover up the scrapes and then painted over it with semi gloss spray cans and it turned out looking like new.

This regular spray paint seems to be the concensus among all the people I've talked to.
I'll go buy some regular semi-gloss black paint tomorrow. Maybe a base coat or two of primer? Though I was told it worked fine with no primer at all.
This'll be fun, I love projects! :)

My cuz painted my jeep. He sanded down the top with some low grit scotch brite pads before painting. He teaches car painting for PPG so im assuming he knows what he is doing. if you want specifics let me know and ill get them!

Sounds good... I actually just ordered up some LED's for the rig. With only $20 to spend, I thought I'd start off with little things. If I had some more, I'd be getting my swaybar disco's, but I didn't have enough.
Now I'm thinking about painting the hard top when it gets warmer out. I do have a large bay at the Firehouse at my disposal, along with square blocks on wheels to move the top around. We also have heated floors, ventilation (for the diesel exhaust), 2000 watt "gym" lights, etc. I wanted to do it all inside, but it's prob just best to wait for the temps to go up.
