What you all have been waiting for :)
Headlamp/bulb test movie!
Posted this on another JU fourm but I though you guys here would be interested in seeing just how much better you can make the lighting on your YJ weither it uses the square or round headlamps!
This is with my Panasonic VHS camcorder run on the same tape...
Compares the following:
1. Stock Sylvania Halogen's/with stock jeep wiring
2. Rich's 100/90 Watt blue (hid look) bulbs w/hd wiring/relays and IPF lens
3. Daniel's 100/90 Watt clear bulbs w/hd wiring/relays and IPF lens
Click Here to run the Movie (http://james.jaguar.net/kctrading/89-Jeep-Wrangler/Headlamps/headlamp-test.wmv)
My Recommendations:
If you want the HID look you will want to go with Rich's high wattage blue bulbs as you will not be happy with the stock wattage ones, as you lose about 15-20% of the brightness from the blue filter on the bulb glass.
If you want to match the lighting/color of your add on/offroad lamps you will want to go with Daniels clear high wattage bulbs. Also highly recommend the IPF or Daniel's CIBIE Lens that use H4 bulbs.
So far this has been one of the best mods to date :)
