tranny fix?

I want to put a tranny out of a 2003 wrngler in my 1988. I have heard that it will fit. Do I need a kit? Anybody out there done it before? Thanks,

We also need to know what engine you have and what engine the 2003 had?

There is a 6 cyl in the "88" 5 speed manual I would like to replace it with another manual trany. I just don't know what extras I'll need and if it will really work

I did the NV-3550 swap in my "88". Advance Adapters has everything you need. You will probably have to swap your input shaft in your transfer case to one that is 23 spline.
