How much can one of these be expected to cost for a new or rebuilt one ? or to get one rebuilt ?

You can usually find a rebuilt one from one of the larger rebuilders for around $800-$900. You may find a local shop to do the job a bit cheaper. Or buy a kit and do it yourself. I have found kits with all the synchros and bearings and seals for around $220. The reman units do come with a warranty though, so it may be worth the extra cash to you.

600-700 is a better quote. Two places on ebay are like 600-650 but then you got shipping on top like another 75. theres a local guy ghere in MD that charges 650 for a reman and iwll give a warrn. depending on what you are running. shop around prices will vary but make sure the guy is good at what he does. Don' spend the cash and get shafted.
