I am thinking of doing this for the following reasons:
Its easier to install-TJ requires battery and other stuff removal.
I have removed the stock airbox.
There is an open area on the drivers side to go through.
I could install an air filter there.
It sits higher on the body- shorter air path and less chance of water ingestion if leakage.
So, does anyone know if this would work? Got any comments? Let me know. Thanks. John.

I am pretty sure that your throttle body is roughly in the same spot as mine on my 94 4.0. Do you want to use the stock air box or are fab something? Do you have the instructions for it? I do not know where your windshield washer resevoir is on the tj mine was on the driver's side and had to be relocated. I also had to be careful when drilling the hole not to drill into my ecu, which is very close. I think the yj snorkel looks alot better than the tj version and I like how it mounts higher also.

I have looked a installations (online) for both. I would not have to move anything and could put the stock air box on the drivers side. Just wanted to get other opinions on this. Thanks.
