This probly sounds pretty dumb, but is my jeep lifted? Its a 91 YJ riding on 31" x 10.5" tires on stock rims. The guy i bought it from didnt know much about it because he somewhat enheireted it. I parked beside a stock YJ on stock rims today and mine looked alot taller, and the angle the shackles were at looked different aswell. If any other pics from different angles or spots might help determine if this is lifted, let me know.

Heres a few pics.

that'd be my guess. theres the same amount of space between my flares and tires and i have stock springs w/ 235/75/15's (about 29's)

pics a little stretched, so it looks like theres more room at the top :agree:

Well thats good to hear... i thought it looked a little lifted when i first got it. It rides great on the trail. Is there any way i can figure out what kind of springs i have? Are they stamped anywhere?

I'd say no. I have a 3" suspension w/ 31's and have alot more room than you. Yours looks like mine stock. Sorry, but I'd think you'd rub on the trail, with a little flexing.

i vote lifted. My stocker when it had 30's had less room.

just looking at the arch of the spring id say yes. Stock springs are flat, yours contain arch.

id say 1.5-2" maybe an add a leaf or full new spring

X2. :agree: That is what answers it right there and exactly what I was going to say.

Check the spring bushings. If they are rubber, 99% chance the springs have add aleave or are rearched. If they are poly bushings they will most likely be lift springs.

Also stock rear YJ springs have 3 spring clamps, most aftermarkets have two.

Your springs have arch so they are not stock or have been messed with.

x3 on the lift. I have a 1" shackle and 1" body and the ride looks exatly the same with my 31's. Couple of things like they said about rubber or poly bushings. Also the shocks and color of the boots can help identify the lift type. Post some pics of the springs and shocks and maybe we can figure it out. Jeeps looks good for the great white north. Gotta love those salt crews...

Thanks for everyone's help. Here's some more pics that will hopefully help in identifying what kind of lift is on this thing. Sorry for all the mud, but ive been puddle stomping the past few days:agree:

Heres the rear body spacer.. I think thats stock height?

Hmm never noticed that before.. im pretty sure its just a clump of mud:) Ill go check though

Hmm thats weird. Its a rubber plug. It doesnt seem to leak any air so hopefully itll be good till spring.

Definitely not shackle or body, looking at the pics. Stock shackles and no BL.

Whatever lift you have is coming from the springs for sure.

It probably had a hole and some one just plugged it. Pretty common, my last set of tires had about 2-3 in each. No worries.

I also vote for a 1.5-2" lift with sagging springs. Do your shocks have any stickers or writing on them?

judging by the spring arch (stock springs are almost flat) and the clamps around the springs that look bent (they spread them open to re-arch the springs) and the stock shackles I would say someone had the springs re-arched to gain lift. There is no body lift.

It looks like the driver side rear spring has the forward spring clamp broken off on the inside next to the gas tank too. Prob when it was bent back after spring re arching.

I had this done to a YJ so am a bit familiar with this set up.
