Anyone insulate or sound proof your hardtop. I was thinking of some sort of head liner for the hard top. Any ideas? Pictures welcome!

Go browse home depot in the hot water heater section and in the insulation section. There's some pretty versitile stuff, you might get a cool idea.

I got some closed cell 1/2" black foam and glied it to the top, Then found some good looking black automotive carpet and glued that over the foam and to the sides of my top. It took a while to get it to look good. But now i do not have any water condensing on the top when i go up to the snow. Just use some good quality glue, The first stuff that i used (3M spray tach) worked great until the top got hot when the sun would shine on it. Then it started to sag.

There is a JU member (who hardly posts now) named JeepinTurtle (I think.) He actually took carpet and glued it inside his hardtop. I saw his work and it was great. Surpressed the sound a lot and was warmer in the winter.

This was about 2 or 3 years ago.
