Borrowed my buddies 98 YJ for the week. 69k miles. 2.3L Runs like a champ.
This AM I got caught with the top down in the rain, and had to park it in the garage with some big ass fans on the seats to dry it out. Not a full soaking - just wet.
So it sat in the garage all day - and then I went to drive it tonight. I started it up and it was revving at 2k. Tapped the gas a few times - stayed at 2k idle. Gas was real low, and the light came on. So after 5 minutes it came down to about 1k, and I drove it to the gas station, where I filled it with 87. Took 12 Gals.
I got in it, and the check engine light was on. It started running like ****. Like a cylinder was not firing or something - not smooth at all. Idle was fine though - around 700.
I drove it a few miles, thinking it would be fine - and watched the guages. When I had the clucth in - the oil pressure gague would go from straight up to about 1/4, but would rev back up with the gas pedal.
Anyway - he comes and picks it back up tomorrow. Anyone have any idea what could be going on here? Is the rain an unrelated thing? Maybe bad gas?
PLEASE HELP!!! :neil:
