I have read the post here (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52893) about fitting a CJ top onto a YJ. There is one in town for sale for $450 thats in very good condition. I went to try it on and everything worked great but my doors. I have half steel doors with Supertop soft uppers. The soft uppers wouldnt even come close to fitting. What are my options with the doors? Is there other soft uppers that will work or do I have to buy some full steel doors? Also, I know of the issue with the tailgate but it seemed very hard to open up the back window of the top with a spare tire on. Is there anything that can be done beside flipping the mount for the tire carrier?

Thanks,
Leroux

Are your upper doors square that the upper corner? If so, you need to have the other set that aren't for the factory soft top hardware. And the back window should be easiest to open with the tailgate open as far as it will go unless you have an oversize spare, that could block it a little.

My supertop doors are round at the tob, but the dont even come close to fitting. The worst part on them is where there is the indent at the bottom of the hardtop for the full hard door to go into. My uppers dont have that indent in them at all.
