Got a question about a steering column

Is a YJ steering column made by GM? I am rewiring my YJ and gonna buy a universal painless harness and I do not know if it is GM or not.

just replaced my non-tilt with a tilt, but did not experiment with the gm. I have been told its the same damn thing, but i have not confirmed.
They definitly appear to be the same, need to pull one from the local yard and try it.

Yes they are the same and use the same internal parts as S10's.
