That was the year before the "launch" of the "new" jeep, the TJ with the round headlights. there were no production YJ's.

Actually, Jeeps manufacturing plant continued production past the normal model year deadline so in that sense yes there is a '96 but branded as a '95

there was a '95 "B" model. it had hood bumpers like the TJ and i think that was the only distinction from the regular '95. but technically, no, there are no '96 YJs. the '97s were actualy introduced early in the last 1/4 of '96 i beleive.

Then I guess I have the 1995 B model YJ.
It was built in October of 1995. I have been told that it was the last production of the YJ's.
It has the hood bumpers like you were saying about the TJ's.
