Hello,
I just installed MORE's front shock hoop extensions. Even though they seem solid with the bolts, I may even add a couple of spot welds. The problem is one side is in contact witht he body. It's one of the loops on top for the shock mount.
How much does the body move in that area while offroading? I tried separating the hoop, bending the base of the original shock tower, etc. I have a 1" body lift, I have no idea how people mount this without it.
Should I remove them and try harder to bend stuff out, or forget about it? The contact is light, so the paint on the body in that area might rub off, but it's not like the body is bending in under pressure or anything. I'm just concerned if the body does have a lot of play that the constant rubbing will cause noise/impact/a hole/ whatever.
Thanks,
ROD
