Just swap in a TF727. Basically the same transmission. That's the transmission that they put in many FSJs.

Yup, the TF999 can certainly be used behind sb V-8's and such.. They're plenty strong enough.
As was already asked, why do you think you need a stronger tranny ?

My 999 just gave up the ghost and since I need to install a new one I was looking for an upgrade to beef it up.
I saw an article out of Canada mentioning HD torque converter, springs, etc. I was looking for someone that sold a HD assembly.

If you are going to upgrade, first off, use a shift kit, put on a deep pan, and a lockup torque converter if you can afford it.

hell, if your wanting beef, and you can swing the price, you may want to check out level ten (www.levelten.com) my buddy ran one in his ZJ, and that thing was STOUT! he had the billet torque converter and all. don't know what all they make em for, but they are sweet.

I checked out their website. I might consider their kits.
