I have my Ford 8.8 in but... no e-brakes. I know that
ZJ brake cables are supposed to work. I think I read some where that ZJ with rear disc brakes. Sooo
what ZJ will have a disc in the rear , I assume the v-8 models will but what about the 4.0L models.
Also anoy other cheap e-brake cable donars I
can look at? P plan to hit a u-pull soon and need to know what to look for with out too much hassle.
Thanks

Stock TJ units work fine on TJs, really with the way the system works I don't see why anyone's stock cables wouldn't work.
Unless you have soo much lift that the stock cable isn't long enough.

If you have a YJ, forget the ZJ cables. That only works for TJ's. Your options include, but aren't limited to, re-using the ones from your D35, using the ones from the 8.8, or get the MORE ones. There's a lot of info on all these ideas, just search.

Loop your existing cables around the e-brake actuator arm and clamp the cable with a small cable clamp. You will need to trim the spring at the end of the cable a little bit so the arm can move enough to truly work.
I have been running this set up for months now and it works great.

The last two 8.8 installs we did we just used the 8.8 cables and made a 2" spacer for the one cable to even them out. Works great and it was cheap.

MORE e-brake cables,
super beefy, bolt in and are not that expensive
WHat did you do for the regular brake lines? user the ford lines, or install new ones?

I had to run all new lines. You've seen the pic I have of how I did the T-block on POR and the explanation. DanH, do you have more specific questions or do you have a general idea of how you're going to do it?
Devin
Your post on POR is great. Just looking at what other people have done. Trying to find the easiest way out :)
Thanks again!
