I thought the same thing with my last 2 YJ's. (Now I have a '00 TJ)

I had one with a stock leaf set up and Bilsteins and, for a YJ, it was VERY smooth........again, for a YJ.

The second Jeep, also a YJ, had a 3" lift and BRAND NEW Eddlebrocks....supposedly high tech, automatically adjusting shocks. Rode like a beast.....bouncy as hell. However, I think because I went with poly bushings it made things worse.

If you are putting on a new lift..........I recommend using regular stock rubber bushings, a soft shock like Doesch 3000 (spelling?).

Either way, bro...........it's a YJ........they weren't built with comfort in mind. Ever since I got my TJ, I can't believe how rough my 2 YJ's were. The TJ is like a car on the road/freeway.........still amazes me and I've had it for almost 6 months now.
