Anyone with a Weber carb had trouble with it coming loose from its base? Mine did and now it runs like crap. We used locktite when we mounted it. Are any of the RTV sealants made for this sort of high temp use?

I dont have any words of wisom, but i was lookin into a new carb a while back and many were sayin go with Weber. Everytime I got on JU there would be a new story about how someones Weber to replace their carter had gone bad.

Take it back apart and clean everything up. Use Locktight on the screws and studs. Use Gasket Maker #2 on both sides of the gaskets and bolt everything up and let it sit for a few hours. Now you’re done. Mine would start to leak and the screws would still be tight. Once I put Gasket Maker # 2 on both sides of the gaskets, I haven’t touched it in over two years. Hope this helps.
