After installing a lift, the rear trackbar doesn't quite line up. Trying to decide wheather to get a relocation bracket or just toss it.

So who's kept em, who's tossed em and why?

I tossed it before i did my lift. Tossed the front trackbar too. And the sway bar. Why? Springs are stiff and they limit flex

No need for it unless you plan on towing a trailer of some sort with it:yup:

I've heard people with YJ's say that don't need trackbars at all. Must be nice. nate

I tossed mine as well after my OME 2.5" lift install. I did buy a JKS front telescoping trackbar though. When it's tightened my Jeep has tight steering like needed for some on road applications, but most of the time I keep it loose. This enables my Jeep to feel the road and drive very smooth. I like this better especially on bumpy roads or uneven roads. Throw away your rear trackbar, order the JKS front TTB, and thorw away your front stock trackbar. The JKS is a very nice system.

what will this do for the ride? (on-road) and
what will this do for the travel?
what do i need to remove?

this sounds great; drop weight, get rid of useless parts, and improved suspension (?)-- where do i sign up?

get rid of it.. you will notice no difference. you can get rid of the front as well, as many of us have. you may notice a small difference without the front, but it i s not uncomfortable. (body roll)

Since you said toss it I am assuming you are only talking about one. Remove both the front and the rear. While you are at it take off the sway bar too. After you take off the sway bar adjust your bump stops because your Jeep will start flexing. Fender damage is possible depending on tire size

definitely toss the rear one..no adverse effects what so ever

as far as the front one is concerned..i'd say experiment..becuase some people need it..

i didnt.. but i know some poeple with lifted YJ's who really fee lthat the front track bar is neccesary for stability

as far as sway bar..i keep mine connected on road..cuz i count control the jeep if i didnt have it connected

What's a trackbar??:puzzled: j/k:D no matter how tight I tighten up my front track bar relocation braket it still gets loose and I cant tell the difference when it does. I also have no rear trackbar or swaybar.
