Normal Operating Temp for YJ?

Ok Guys,

I have a 4.O Liter 93 YJ with manual transmission. I think that my car has started to run hot and I'm getting some minor temperature fluctuation (+-25 degrees) when running on the freeway/uphill etc.

What is the normal operating temperature for this vehicle? Does anyone have words of wisdom about Yj temps?

Try a new thermostat. Worked for me when I had a similar concern.

It should run with the needle straight up at 210 degrees. If it's fluctuating, you might be low on fluid. That's how mine acted anyways.
